Entering the less warm season

Another year: fires rage in California and the west. As we write this, we are thankful that friends and family are safe. But we are saddened by the amount of destruction, displacement, and loss for so many people. Our hearts go out to those affected and the firefighters that risk their lives trying to save so much while they face nature's rath. November 1 and it was like a switch flipped. We went from the warm season to the less warm season. Now it gets "cold" at night--down to the low 60's and requires an extra blanket to sleep. Our apologies to our friends who live in the snow for mentioning Hawaii's version of "cold" . The sunsets are gorgeous now: long, colorful, clear and beautiful. The ocean has been calm and reflects the colors of the clouds shifting from orange to red, purple, mauve and peach. The picture below does not do it justice.    The house is getting close. We have non stop daily chores trying to move this project to completion i
