A busy warm and rainy season otherwise known as summer

Who said summer was the time to kick back and relax? Where are those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer? Those days of soda and pretzels and beer? We had what felt like a vacation in Napa for several days after all the medical tests and meetings were done.

We returned from the mainland after learning that Judy's arteries are clear with no blockages. We met with the TAVR (transluminal aortic valve replacement) Team which was not one meeting, but a series of back to back meetings with many members of the team. Judy is a clear candidate for this procedure which is now scheduled for July 30 @ Kaiser in San Francisco. We are heartened by the fact that Kaiser SF does 18,000 cardiac procedures per year. They have it down!!!

We really appreciate all the support from friends and family during this time. You have been wonderful and we really want to say a hearty thank you (Mahalo, in Hawai'i).

Work on the house is accelerating, finally. We have a roof!

And, we have a rock wall to hold the outdoor shower outside the main floor guest bedroom. It will help us have a front yard also.

Mike is heading to the east coast tomorrow to work on a case. He will be back the day before his birthday. Going to be a long flight tomorrow--one  is a red eye. At least he has the day he arrives in the east to recover, sleep, and maybe even exercise a little.

All this is time away from Mike's work on the house. He does have a climbing wall to complete before the two younger grandkids and their parents arrive the end of August. So, there will be some push time ahead.

Mike has been staying on top of the contractors and organizing all the  details of the construction which is time consuming. Judy and MIke have been shopping for details: appliances, inside doors, bathroom hardware, door handles, locks. All of us easily take for granted all of the details that are in a house. We are eargerly looking forward to moving in: we are more than ready.

Have a safe, wonderful and memorable summer.

Love

Judy and Mike
